Los Angeles, CA

 Venica, CA, USA

I had no intention of writing about my first visit to Los Angeles. I was only there for a friend's wedding. I didn't think I'd enjoy it very much. However, like anything, there were good parts and bad parts. The worst part was the traffic. The best part was DZP's wedding. I got to meet his lady for the first time and it was in a beautiful spot.  Everything in between was a bonus. KLS booked us lodging in someone's house, not at a hotel. That was a neat expierence.

We got to try out a new idea. Our lodging was no where near the wedding. We always attend weddings and hope to see the bride and groom a lot, but you never do on wedding weekends So we just made the weekend about us with a 3-4 hour detour for good food and friends. The in between was life on the beach. We ran on the beach. We biked along the beach. We drove up the coast. We ate great food. Perhaps most importantly, and the only reason I am writing about LA, is that we found the machine below. The Zoltar fortune telling machine.  I know it from the move Big. It has a very fond place in my heart.

This is, unfortunately, not the same machine as in the movie Big.
